Early this week Thailand suffered its first outbreak of the H5N1 bird flu virus in six months. This year Vietnam also faced a rash of the same outbreaks and Indonesia, the world capital of Bird Flu, had four human deaths due to the same flu.

NONG KHAI, Jan 21 (TNA) – Thai health officials in this Mekong River province bordering Laos, some 615 kilometres northeast of Bangkok, have culled more than 2,000 poultry suspected to have been stricken with the deadly avian influenza -- bird flu.
