( University of Washington ) Researchers will create computer models of virus-host interactions and cellular responses to acute respiratory virus infections from bird flu or SARS. They will use genomic, proteomic and metabolic technologies to see how the viruses regulate cell signals and evade the body's antiviral defenses.
