A 35-year-old woman has become Indonesia's 59th case of human infection with the H5N1 avian influenza virus, and its 46th death. Despite successful efforts to contain the spread of the deadly H5N1 virus, avian flu threatens a growing number of countries, and the FAO now considers the Caucasus and southern Balkans as “high-risk” areas.
