Lansing — Michigan does indeed have avian influenza H5N1. It doesn’t, though, have that avian influenza H5N1. And the virus it does have poses no threat to waterfowl hunters, DNR veterinarian Dr. Steve Schmitt told Michigan Outdoor News.
